Kashmir Silk rugs mostly resemble Persian Ghom silk rugs. Traditional Persian motifs are often used in the Kashmir rugs. A popular design is the Garden motif, where a general characteristic is willows and cypress trees. Another popular motif is a central medallion encircled by a trimming. The colours are often calm and toned down.
